Accessibility
The Museum does not have private parking for the use of visitors.
The exhibition halls, reception and service areas are accessible to all, including physically handicapped visitors for whom there are access ramps and lifts. To facilitate visits or access to the museum services, the Museum can make a wheel chair available on request from Reception or by prior arrangement.
Circulation in the galleries of the permanent exhibition is good, except for the 18th and 19th century ceramic gallery where the aisle between the showcases is too narrow for a wheel-chair.
The smallest room of the temporary exhibition area may also be inaccessible to visitors in wheel chairs.
Use of the museum premises
The Museu Nacional de Soares dos Reis has both interior and exterior spaces suitable for all types of events.
Auditorium
There is a 180-seat auditorium appropriate for musical events, the performing arts, conferences, seminars and talks.
The auditorium is equipped with projection screen, 2 table microphones, 1 radio microphone and data-show.
Back-up facilities include an artist’s changing-room, cloakroom and kitchenette.
This space is available to the public according to a set tariff.
